Breaking down the silos between a VR headset and its companion app.

How a small team brought research, support and development together to connect a mobile app to its VR headsets, and to the residents using both.

PrecisionOS App

In short

The PrecisionOS companion app launched before we had UX research, and residents weren't finding their way into it. Working closely with our developers, support team and customers, we connected the app to the headsets, simplified onboarding so a resident can get from download to their first session without needing help, and turned VR performance data into feedback that's quick to read. We also brought Delphi, an AI attending mentor, onto the home screen. The new app shipped on the App Store and Google Play.
