As a visual designer within provincial law enforcement at E Division, I was tasked with redesigning the interface of a custom-built mapping tool to enhance its usability and effectiveness for decision-makers. The tool provides critical information for situational awareness during live calls and asset dispatch.
Key Responsibilities
- User Research: Conducted in-depth research to understand the needs, goals, and pain points of the primary users: Divisional Duty Officers (DDOs), Critical Incident Commanders (CICs), and District Advisory Non-Commissioned Officers (DANCOs).
- Persona Development: Created a detailed user persona based on research findings, representing the typical DDO and their operational challenges.
- Interface Design: Redesigned the interface layout to prioritize essential features and improve navigation based on identified user pain points.
- Data Visualization: Optimized data visualization techniques to ensure clear and effective presentation of critical information.
Project Outcomes
